A Bit About Me
I run Expat Asian out of Dubai and write most of what touches money, cars, and Gulf life. Alongside it I handle the blog and news-desk content for Alpago and F1rst Motors, and run LinkedIn for their C-suite, and I write for SlashGear and Jalopnik on the automotive side. Before the writing took over I trained and worked as a financial analyst, which is still how I read most things.
I started Expat Asian because every part of the expat experience seemed locked behind a language barrier, a consultant's invoice, or a pile of AI slop, and I wanted a straight answer in plain English with the real numbers left in. If it involves a visa run, the spread on a gold purchase, or a car I can't quite justify yet, I've probably already been through it and taken notes.
